It's not just the bacteria, but also the toxins...

As we wrote in a previous article "Howie" about how to wash your hands to prevent infection from flu viruses and other bacteria, in this article we write about the kind of soaps that are detrimental to your health.

What would be the point of cleaning our hands to kill all that bacteria when on the other hand (no pun intended) we're causing ourselves more harm using these toxic soaps.

'Penetration enhancers' (Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, TEA-stearate, tocopherol, lecithin, propylene glycol, tetrasodium EDTA, trisodium HEDTA, sodium laureth sulfate) are chemicals they put in soaps to make the other substances in the soap easier to penetrate our skin and end up in our bloodstream.

The downside to these ingredients that penetrate our skin is that most of them are human carcinogens. One ingredient is triethanolamine, there's evidence that it is an immune system and respiratory toxicant. Studies have shown that it can cause mutations of human cells. In animals, besides bladder and liver cancer, it causes changes in the animals testicles. Polyethylene glycol alters the skin's moisture factor and leaves you more vulnerable to bacteria,...poor Howie. Sodium PCA can create carcinogenic nitrosamine if it's mixed with amines. Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) causes allergic reaction and is linked to cancer as well as tocopheryl acetate and a few dozen other chemicals.

These ingredients are especially harmful for pregnant and nursing women.
Solution?...Shift to 'organic soaps'. Here's the link for the brief article written on that subject. 'Safe'
