I just came from a friend's house where she offered me an amazingly delicious coffee in the coolest most colorful looking mug, it made the experience of drinking the coffee more .... well fun.
Isn't it like everything else? For instance the car I drive, I personally don't care if it's a basic Honda that I have to manually lock and unlock the doors (I have a very low monthly payment) which cuts down my financial stress and it takes me where I need to go. But I bet you, my drive would have an added comfort if I were in a Mercedes or a BMW or a Lexus, a Porsche.... okay you get the drift.
I believe in living a simple life, but I can't deny the joy that extra touch can bring to the simple things in life - like coffee or a Sunday drive. If you don't have to stress, or break the bank, I say GO AHEAD! enjoy the expensive porcelain mug with the beautiful hand painted design then glide into your BMW and take on the day!

I agree with some of the statements they made but not all. I do believe we do deserve sometimes to have finer things. We only live once. I think I would probably enjoy my coffee more if it was in a beautiful cup as apposed to a plain looking 99 cents cup. We work too hard not to enjoy some of the finer things in life. Now if I couldn't afford a $20 or $30 cup than I would find a beautiful $5.00 cup. I do like to splurge and spoil myself sometimes and my husband is all for it. I think if you've got some money, you should get some of the finer things in life especially if it won't break your bank. My mom died at age 34 and she had 5 grand saved up when she died. She didn't get to take that with her. I remember she wanted this bracelet and I heard her talking to my dad about it but she never got to buy it. We're all different and we all enjoy different things cheap or expensive. I know I don't go overboard because I have a family but I do like to take care of myself and get things that make me happy as long as it doesn't affect my family as a whole. I don't like to nickle and dime. Life is too short and we don't know if we'll be here tomorrow. Enjoy life and spend sometimes. We deserve it!
