Kinesiology vs Applied Kinesiology

Kinesiology, also known as Human kinetics, is the science of Human movement. It studies how a person's body functions and moves. The practice of kinesiology is to assess performance through the movement and function of the everyday person and pro athlete, and eventually enhance their ability in the areas of sport, work, and general daily activities.
Applied kinesiology is when a practitioner uses muscle testing to diagnose the functional status of the Human body. It's a system to evaluate the chemical and mental appearance of health by applying manual force on a patient's specific muscle area and having the patient resist that force. A weak result would indicate chemical or structural imbalance or mental stress.
Almost 40% of chiropractors employ this method, and it's also been used by naturopaths, nutritionists, massage therapists and medical doctors.
Some, are skeptical of this practice, sighting that the reliability in tests is not accurate, but merely chance diagnosis.
