That's one of the questions I've often asked myself, and with the prices of organic foods much higher, it doesn't make it very desirable especially in this economy. Yet for someone who is looking to improve their health and life in general, you want to "go green", in fact it is said that 55% of consumers would buy organic products if only it cost less. Makes sense, then again you might think, there's no price for health but the truth is when you can get that broccoli for far less than the organic and finances are tough that month, you'll eat the non-organic.
So with a little research I came across a list of foods that is just fine to eat non-organic and a list that you should consider buying organic.
The Okay to eat non-organic:
• Avocado
• Asparagus
• Cabbage
• Broccoli
• Eggplant
• Onions
• Kiwi
• Papaya
• Watermelon
• Sweet potatoes
• Sweet peas
Best to eat organic list:
• Apples
• Peaches
• Cherries
• Grapes
• Pears
(are you getting the drift?)
• Strawberries
• Tomatoes
• Carrots
• Celery
• Leafy greens
So there's no need to go green on all foods you encounter, with this starting list, you can begin to make healthier choices and a big difference in your health.
